Vensters (Windows) – Research
These images form the starting point of my ongoing development project Vensters. During a long-term photographic exploration of Dutch greenhouses, I became fascinated by weathered greenhouse windows, where lime, paint, foil, light, organic materials and the effects of time continuously interact to create ever-changing surfaces.
What first attracted me was not only their visual beauty, but the realization that these windows already function as images themselves. Within my current research, I investigate how they can become glass negatives, directly exposing light-sensitive materials through the windows themselves using historical photographic processes.
